Fun in the State Parks

The boys each have their favorite activity at Chuck E Cheese.  Eddie wins lots of tickets playing "the worm game," and Billy "talks on the phone."

Eddie is cracking his brother up by splashing the fence with water!

We went for a hike and a swim at Inks Lake State Park.  It was lots of fun.  When we first approached the lake to go swimming, it became apparent pretty quickly that it was going to be too deep to swim and we needed to climb over some steep hills to get to the place where the boys could safely wade.  Billy, however, had put two and two together (wearing swimsuit and walking around near a body of water,) and he thought we were changing our minds about letting him go swimming.  He completely lost his cool and screeched until we found a suitable place to put him in the water.

Last weekend went to McKinney Falls State Park, which is 5 minutes from our house.  Too bad we weren't prepared to swim, because there were some nice, clear, shallow spots.  Next time!

Eddie found the biggest walking stick any of us had ever seen.  He was brave enough to touch it, but Billy yelled "NO BUG! NOOOO Bug!"
