Eddie's game in these pictures was to collect water in the bucket and either pour the water down the slide or pour it over the side of the playscape. Billy's game was to race the little green truck through the mud that his brother was creating.
Getting ready for a bike ride. It's unbelievable, but that's a whole, full-sized mattress rolled up tightly.
We spent Friday evening and Saturday morning assembling the new bunk beds. Eddie wanted to help so badly!
On Saturday afternoon, we went to a backyard birthday party for one of Billy's classmates. Eddie figured out how to use the Slip -n Slide and spent the whole afternoon running and sliding.
Nana and Woody brought our dining table and china cabinet out of storage, and Nana also brought bedding, a rug, and a planet poster for the boys room. Later that day, we found a great night light that projects the solar system on the dark ceiling to round off the theme.
Kyle assembled a wooden pteranadon for their room. Eddie's pretty excited about pteranadons because of the one that plays a starring role in the first Magic Treehouse story. Billy just likes "dine-soors! raaaaaaah!"
The uncle of the little girl whose birthday party we attended has some beautiful aquariums and "over 100" snails. He gave Eddie a pair, and they have made themselves at home in our fish tank with Thomas and Percy the fish. So far, their names are Water and Snail, but this may change.
