Funny Little Things & Presents from Lulu

A funny conversation:

Eddie:  Mom, Billy said I can have more banana bread!
Mom:  Who's in charge here, Billy or Momma?
Eddie:  Eddie's in charge.

Yesterday Eddie was eating an apple and coloring a picture at the dining room table.  He kept putting the apple down so that he could use both hands to draw.  Billy walked by and peered over the edge of the table at the apple.  He walked off, and Eddie, unaware, continued to color.  Billy made a circle around the living room and came back, peered at the apple again, and walked away.  The third time he came back, his little hand crept up onto the table, carefully picked up the half-eaten apple, and silently removed it.  He crept away and came back several minutes later to deposit the core on my lap.  Eddie completely forgot about his apple.

Last weekend Kyle worked a double shift and I had both boys to myself all day, so I had to take them along to H.E.B. (The Leap Pad is such a wonderful thing for keeping kids happy in a shopping cart!)  I kept asking Eddie to get dressed and put his shoes on with no results.  Finally, I told him (jokingly, of course,) that if he didn't get dressed I was going to store him in the closet until Billy and I got back.  His response was "Mom, why would you SAY that?!?"

Finally, among the things that Billy says clearly:
"MY Buzz Lightyear!"  (His Buzz used to be white, but now it's gray.)
"AWESOME!"
"Super Why and the Super Readers!"
"The car needs batteries!"  (referring to the new r/c car Lulu sent... see below.)

Lulu is making a name for herself as the toy fairy.  She sent Eddie and Billy a pair of r/c hovercraft bumper cars that work extremely well and that the boys can operate well.  (In fact, the only reason I have time to write here is because they are engrossed in these toys and not bothering me to entertain them.)  She also sent a pair of gyroscope helicopters for the parents that we are learning to fly in the living room and a two-kid Slip-n-Slide.
