Last Day of Summer

Me: Yuck, what stinks? Did one of y'all leave a wet towel in the backseat?
Eddie: Eh. I'm noseblind to mildew.

Billy decided to eat with chopsticks last night. No one told him to try it, he just picked up a pair and struggled with them until he was eating rice, one grain at a time. He sat there so long, we had to box it up and take it home. He continued to work on it, picking up one or two grains at a time until he finally got tired.

On seeing these pictures, a friend pointed out that it's okay to pick up the bowl when eating with chopsticks. Perhaps with a smaller bowl (one that is not the size of his head) and a little more coordination...next time I'll tell him.

The boys went to work with me today and Adam the glassblower showed them around. We spent almost an hour in the glass shop today.

The new snake, Kaa. He is a baby, very friendly, and he will never grow to be longer than about 12 inches.

When Billy spotted Ms. VanderEnde at the kindergarten gathering, he got so excited that he threw his arms around her legs and almost knocked her down!

Awww, even big boys need some Momma-lovin' sometimes.

Billy wanted to wash dishes at Granny's house. He did such a good job.
