Here's a quick video of Eddie doing what he does every day now. One of us stands in the street like a meerkat sentinel watching for cars, and he and Billy ride their bikes. When we yell "car," they get to the nearest driveway immediately, or they will lose their bike-in-the-street privileges:
This kid is fearless. It makes me a little fearful, but what should I do? Make sure he wears his helmet, teach him to respect the traffic patterns, and hope that when he does get hurt, it's a minor injury.
Also, Billy came storming into the kitchen yesterday holding out his hand (with a small small scratch on his finger, about a millimeter long) and yelling "MOM! It's an EMERGENCY! I have BLOOD!!!" It's so hard to keep a straight face while kissing and positioning a Buzz Lightyear band-aid on such a small, cute ouchie.
Stay tuned for pictures of the snow day and the little league clinic...
