No Kidding

Billy has become a huge Star Wars fan.

Last night I asked him "Billy, where is your father," not really expecting an answer.

He disappeared upstairs and returned with his Darth Vader alarm clock!
"Here, Mom!"

Third Day of School

"Mom, how come I never get to ride the bus? I really want to ride the bus." (We live too close to the school for him to ride!)

Second Day of School

When Eddie was asked what he did on his second day of kindergarten: "We made gingerbread men, but mine ran away and left crumbs for me to follow, so they gave me a magnifying glass so I could follow the clues, but he got away. So I got to make a smaller gingerbread man and I ate him before he could run away."

The First Day of Kindergarten

Eddie is officially a kindergartener today!  Wow!  He was very happy to be going to elementary school.

Here are some more miscellaneous pictures from the end of the summer and the trip to the beach with Nana, Woody, and Jane.  Billy also got his first haircut at Sport Clips.  He was a real trooper and never gave the haircut a second thought.  He just sat in the chair like he'd been doing it all his life.

Here's Billy swimming with his net in flippers and goggles.  He can literally do this for hours with short breaks.  Also, I was able to capture one of Eddie's diving board flips.  He was discussing diving board skills with the girl who dove before him, so he had to wait for her to get out of the pool so she could see this trick!

Nerd Glasses

Eddie and I went to Target on Thursday night before piano lesson and we were nosing around the dollar bins. Eddie said "Mom, I can't see very well." When I started questioning him, I realized that he had found a pair of ridiculous plastic novelty glasses and this was his way of asking me to buy them for him. He wore them out of the store.

During the piano lesson, his teacher took them away until the end, and then gave them back for the Blues portion saying great musicians have to cultivate their own style!

The next morning, I wanted to take a picture of Eddie with his preschool teacher, Ms. Charity, since he will be starting kindergarten. She said "hold on" and went to her desk and produced her own nerd glasses!
